Fishers Indiana housing market report for October 2011Plenty to give thanks for in Fishers Indiana, October housing numbers not included

A 20.19% gain in Average Sales Price as compared to the same month one year ago was the only statistic worthy of thanksgiving in the Fishers housing market report for October 2011. Fishers real estate showed losses in every other area AND posted an increase in Average Days on Market - the one area in which a loss would be a good thing!

October 2011 was a bit of a rough month for all four Hamilton County cities - Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville and Westfield - named to CNN Money's list of Best Places to Live. The Carmel housing market was the only one to gain ground in Closed Sales (+19.72%) in a month to month comparison for October 2011 and October 2010, but it also lost out in Median Sales Price and Average Sales Price (-16.37% and -21.89%, respectively). Noblesville actually fared the best in comparisons of October 2011 to October 2010, with minimal decreases in Closed Sales (-5.45%) and Median Sales Price (-2.62%) and equally minimal increases in Average Sales Price (+3.4%) and Percent of Original List Price Received at Sale (+1.47%).

Only two Fishers Indiana housing market reports left for 2011. Let's hope they give us a reason to give thanks!
