The weekend’s nearly here! And since it's a long one, we thought we'd include some extra stuff outside the boundaries of Hamilton County - just to keep you entertained!

The Apple Store, 11 am - 5 pm
@Conner Prairie in Fishers
Fall officially begins with the opening of The Apple Store at Conner Prairie. The store features tasty apple treats including gourmet caramel apples, classic apple cider, and, of course, apple pie! Admission to Conner Prairie is not required. The Apple Store is open through Oct. 30.

Rib America FestivalFriday, Sept. 2 - Monday, Sept. 5
Rib America Festival
@Military Park in Indianapolis
Awesome bands (REO Speedwagon, The Romantics & the Doobie Brothers, just to name a few) and awesome food (BBQ ribs!) are a sure bet for fun at this annual Indianapolis festival. Free admission before 5 pm on Friday and before 2 pm Saturday - Monday.

@Noblesville Historic Town Center
Get a sneak peek inside some of Noblesville's most intriguing historic buildings. Tickets can be purchased the evening of the event on the courthouse lawn, or can be purchased in advance at the Noblesville Main Street office at 839 Main Street. Live music from The Tides begins at 7 pm on the courthouse lawn as part of the Jazz on the Square summer concert series.

Movies in the Park, beginning at dusk

Bring something comfy to lounge on and something tasty to munch on during the DOUBLE FEATURE showing of Megamind and Inception.

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, 8 PM
@Conner Prairie in Fishers
The contemporary swing revival band Bid Bad Voodoo Daddy is the final act of Conner Prairie's Symphony on the Prairie series. Pack the lawn chairs, and the picnic basket and enjoy an evening under the stars!

Sunday, Sept. 4
The Ripple Effect, 7 pm
@Broad Ripple Station in Indianapolis
Work up a sweat during this 4 mile run/walk through the streets of Broad Ripple and you can enjoy your Labor Day festivities guilt free! Run the Ripple features live post-race entertainment and a free drink coupon for all entrants, which can be redeemed just a few hundred feet from the finish line at Brothers Bar and Grill.
